YOUNGSTERS considering a course at City College Plymouth got to try out sumo wrestling and bungee running at a summer ‘ice breaker’ event.
The college was staging its annual Conversion Day for students starting in September, as well as those thinking of enrolling.
Dozens got to try their hands at everything from a hair and beauty challenge to staying upright on a buckin’ bronco.
Events officer Kate Wells said: “It’s been a great opportunity for our new students to experience what college life is all about.”
Guests were welcomed by principal Viv Gillespie before getting a tour of their chosen faculty and enjoying a free barbecue lunch.
The fun activities on offer ranged from a chiselmaking contest to caring for virtual babies — and even a Formula 1 wheel-changing competition.
